Strategy Implementations

In today’s turbulent economic environment, businesses must be fiercely competitive to win and even to remain viable. To remain competitive, organizations must be nimble and able to change successfully. Whether a professional services firm, a manufacturer, a retailer or another form of producer, it’s more critical than ever to successfully implement new strategies. Well executed corporate strategies can make all the difference for a company. When a sound strategy is successfully implemented, the result can be increased efficiency, profitability and/or growth. More examples surface everyday of businesses that change successfully and win… and of businesses that don’t change quickly enough and lose. The winners gain market share while the losers disappear. In fact, the pace of change is only going to keep increasing.

Firms of every size and composition, serving all industries, attempt to drive change by implementing new strategies in the form of corporate initiatives, programs and projects. Successfully implementing new strategies is difficult and complex and requires a very specific skill set. Even with the best of intentions and a skilled team, many businesses fail to successfully implement the initiatives.

Roeder Consulting has the skill set, frameworks, processes and experience to be THE partner on your next strategic initiative. Some firms engage Roeder Consulting to avoid the potentially dire consequences of a failed strategic initiative implementation. Other firms engage Roeder Consulting for our expertise, neutral perspectives and balanced approach as a valuable addition to the strategic implementation team.

One of the most highly regarded books on military and general strategy is considered to be The Art of War by Sun Tsu (400 BC-320 BC). The book has become popular among business leaders because Tsu addresses strategy broadly. He also addresses the importance of diplomacy, planning, cultivating relationships, the health of a state and public administration. In the Gulf War of the early 1990’s, General Norman Schwarzkopf effectively practiced Sun Tsu’s principles of speed and attacking the enemies weaknesses. The parallels to modern business strategy are easily drawn.
